{"id":3352,"date":"2023-09-05T09:34:23","date_gmt":"2023-09-05T07:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.evax.ch\/new-publication-in-allergy\/"},"modified":"2023-09-07T08:49:47","modified_gmt":"2023-09-07T06:49:47","slug":"new-publication-in-allergy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.evax.ch\/en\/new-publication-in-allergy\/","title":{"rendered":"New publication in &#8220;Allergy&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The research team of Evax, together with Universtity of Z\u00fcrich and University Hospital of Z\u00fcrich published a research article in &#8220;Allergy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Insect bite hypersensitivity (IBH) is the most commom allergic disease in horses and it affects the skin.<br \/>\nAllergic horses present significantly increased levels of eosinophils (type of white blood cell) when compared to healthy horses. The number of eosinophils correlates with disease severity. The more severe the allergy is, the more eosinophils can be found in the blood.<br \/>\nThe team found that not only the number of the eosinophils are different but also allergic horses have significantly larger eosinophils with higher granularity than healthy horses.
